A permanent home for my writing
Every platform I have ever posted on made the same implicit promise: put your words here, and we'll keep them. None of them can keep it. Platforms pivot, paywall, get acquired, or quietly delete a decade of posts in a database migration. The words were mine, but the shelf they sat on was always somebody else's.
So this is the fix. One domain I own, one host, one folder of plain HTML files. Everything I have written elsewhere gets imported here, with its original date and a note of where it first appeared. Everything I write from now on starts here and gets syndicated outward, not the other way around.
The design principle is deliberate crudeness: no framework, no database, no build pipeline. A post is a file. The archive is a list. If a format can survive being copied to a new server with cp -r, it can survive anything the next twenty years of the internet does to it.
